Mr. Atkins is a seasoned accounting and finance executive with over 35 years of experience ranging from private to publicly traded companies, primarily in the energy industry.

Through his career, Mr. Atkins has acted as Senior Accountant, Controller, Chief Financial Officer and business owner. He brings both a financial and business operational perspective. He has been involved in numerous acquisitions and divestitures, managed various lending relationships, including asset-based and institutional mezzanine debt lenders, overseen and managed company integrations, system implementations, and related reporting processes and been involved in bankruptcy situations.

Mr. Atkins started his career at Shell Western Exploration & Production, which was the training ground for developing his accounting and finance procedural experience. He became a Senior Accountant then was promoted to Controller at Seneca Resources Corporation, which grew from $10 million to $1 billion revenues.

Mr. Atkins then joined a privately owned oilfield service company as Chief Financial Officer. The company grew through bolt-on acquisitions and organic growth, which required asset-based lending and third-party institutional mezzanine debt. Since, Mr. Atkins has worked with private equity backed businesses as interim CFO, interim Controller and financial consultant as well as supported investment banking and transaction activities.

Mr. Atkins graduated from Colorado State University in 1985 with a B.S. in Accounting. He is a Texas licensed Certified Public Accountant.
